"Small novice" range of issues Sendmail installed Relay

I had two days of distress, especially to visit. Please enlighten me. . . . . . Thank you :-)

My machine is a machine on the LAN, the installation of redhat 9.0, I created a handbook to use its servers. Upon completion of the setting up of local transmission, the receiving mail will be successful. But when I want local mail server (A) and LAN another mail server (B) mutual development, but without success.

So, I went to set up a Relay :

Setting methods :
1. /etc/mail/ Joined the paper in which access the LAN from another mail server ip address :
192.168.XX RELAY

2. Make access.db

3. > E-mail addresses of local mail servers using another mail server e-mail addresses

Results :

Transmission success, but not another mail server e-mail address to receive mail.

Question :
1. Why not another mail server e-mail address to receive mail?
2. Check the relevant information, the DNS service may be one conclusion : no
1) How to check whether the DNS server located?
2) if it were not located, how to set up?
3), I use the local DNS service devices into their machines installed, it will affect the gateway to the LAN.
Report :
I look in the paper to which the nameserver is resolv.conf LAN Gateway ip address, not a domain name.

The plight of a brain Linux learners

Re : "Small novice" range of issues Sendmail installed Relay

RELAY mail relay service is not used for the two mail server sending mail.
Mail server so that the two can communicate with one another, the key is the domain name analytic service.
A. You can set up servers by hand /etc/hosts document B domain name server addresses can be sent to such A B server Instead, the same.

With a static internet ip address of a legitimate server.
Registering a domain name will be recorded at the corresponding dns server ip.

Thank you, the reply :-)

According to this method, I tried it, but without success.

1.A mail server with two users Test@test.com Test1@test.com

There are two B-mail server users Test12@test1.com Test13@test1.com

Has been added to four users collect mail software

2. A revision of /etc/host, which will add B restart /etc/rc.d/inic.d/network restart

Laws of /etc/host B, which will add A restart /etc/rc.d/inic.d/network restart

3. Test@test.com Write to Test12@test1.com Results : The letter is sent, but had not received test12
Test12@test1.com Write to Test@test.com Result : It did, and suggested : "RCPT TO" test@test.com> loss
Defeat : "test@test.com>. . . Relaying denied "

I do not know what result?

Re : "Small novice" range of issues Sendmail installed Relay

DNS, you should first solve the problem.
First of the two machines on each other's addresses for analytical testing.
